M&E Estimator with Drylining Experience

Location: Pontyclun, South Wales

Type: Permanent

Salary: £70,000 to 75,000 p.a. + 10% bonus

Join a leading local team and make an immediate impact on high-profile projects. We are seeking an experienced M&E Estimator with strong drylining expertise to join on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver accurate, competitive estimates for mechanical, electrical, and drylining packages.

The Role

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects, with a focus on M&E and drylining packages.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare material, labour, and subcontractor costings.
  • Source, negotiate, and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and the wider commercial team to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
  • Contribute to tender submissions, value engineering, and risk analysis.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing, supply chain trends, and construction techniques.
  • Attend site visits as required.

Required

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry, with strong drylining and M&E project knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to projects and offices.
