We re working with a well-established M&E contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across healthcare, commercial, and critical environments.
Due to a major live scheme in South Wales, they re looking to bring in an experienced Electrical QA Engineer to take ownership of quality on a large-scale healthcare development in Cardiff.
This is a key, site-based role offering real ownership of QA on a major live project, suited to someone with a strong electrical background and proven QA experience.
The Role
- Carry out daily electrical QA inspections
- Monitor installation quality against approved drawings and specifications
- Raise, track, and close defects and snagging items using Dalux
- Manage and close out QA inspections and NCRs
- Verify completion of corrective works
- Maintain accurate quality records, photos, and documentation within Dalux
- Produce and maintain red-line / record drawings reflecting site changes
- Support testing, commissioning, and project handover
- Liaise with subcontractors, site teams, and consultants
Requirements
- Experience on healthcare, commercial, pharmaceutical, or critical infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations
- Cable containment
- Power distribution
- Lighting systems
- Earthing & bonding
- ELV systems
- Proven experience carrying out site QA inspections and defect management
- Strong working knowledge of Dalux (essential)
- Experience managing QA documentation, records, and reporting within Dalux
- Ability to produce and maintain red-line markups / record drawings
- Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- High attention to detail and strong record-keeping
- Able to work independently and coordinate with site teams
- Valid CSCS/ECS card required
- SSSTS or SMSTS (advantageous)
