We are working with a well-established organisation delivering critical services on one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure projects. Due to an urgent requirement within the commercial team, they are looking to appoint a Procurement Manager or experienced Senior Buyer ready to step up. This is a key role supporting a live, fast-paced project environment, with responsibility for managing procurement activity across multiple workstreams.

The Role

You will take ownership of procurement across a live infrastructure project, working closely with commercial, operational and site teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a yearly spend of £2m - £2.5m across materials, plant and subcontract services
  • Leading procurement activity across multiple packages within a live project environment
  • Managing and developing supplier relationships
  • Negotiating pricing, contracts and commercial terms
  • Supporting cost control and budget management alongside the commercial team
  • Ensuring procurement processes are compliant, efficient and aligned with delivery requirements
  • Working closely with site teams to support programme delivery
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
