A specialist construction contractor delivering facades, cladding and external envelope packages across live projects is looking to appoint a Project Manager to support continued growth in South Wales. The business operates nationally as a subcontractor on high‑profile construction schemes, working closely with Tier 1 main contractors. Due to a healthy order book and repeat workload, they are now strengthening their delivery team with an experienced, hands‑on Project Manager.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the end‑to‑end delivery of façade and cladding packages, from pre‑start through to completion and handover. You will act as the key link between site teams, subcontractors, clients and internal commercial/design functions, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard. This role suits someone who understands specialist subcontract delivery, rather than a purely main‑contract PM background.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing multiple façade / cladding packages across live construction projects
- Overseeing Site Managers and Section Managers on site
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and design teams
- Managing programmes, sequencing and short‑term planning
- Monitoring cost, variations and commercial position alongside commercial team
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality and programme requirements
- Acting as main point of contact with principal contractors and site teams
- Managing inspections, snagging, handovers and final accounts support
About You
You will come from a construction background with experience managing subcontract packages on live sites. Experience specifically within facades, cladding or external envelopes is highly desirable, but strong candidates from a similar specialist or structural background will also be considered.

- Background in construction, with exposure to specialist subcontract delivery
- Strong understanding of site operations, sequencing and programme management

- CSCS card
- Good communication and coordination skills

- Facades, cladding or external works experience
- Experience working under Tier 1 main contractors
- Knowledge of aluminium systems, rainscreen, curtain walling or similar
- Commercial awareness around variations and change control
