Construction Project Manager / Non-Working Supervisor required on a prestigious new Technology Institute project in Oxford. Our client is undertaking major electrical infrastructure works involving the installation and termination of SWA Sub Main Cables. There is thousands of meters of cable to be installed and terminated. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to oversee a significant electrical installation package on a high-profile construction project.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will manage site operations as a non‑working supervisor / project lead, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day‑to‑day site activities and electrical installation teams.
  • Oversee pulling and installation of SWA sub‑main cables.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and project scheduling.
  • Ensure all works are completed to specification, programme, and quality standards.
  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety Compliance.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, RAMS reviews, and site inspections.
  • Liaise with clients, principal contractors, and project management teams.
  • Produce progress reports, manage site documentation, and maintain project records.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction project management and/or non‑working electrical supervision.
  • Strong background in commercial/industrial electrical installations.
  • Experience managing SWA cable installation and sub‑main infrastructure works.
  • SMSTS Certificate required.
  • ECS/CSCS Card required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Must be up to date with current IT systems and proficient in using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Microsoft Office for reporting, communication, and document management.
  • Ability to manage works within a live construction environment.

  • Project Duration: Approximately 5 Months
  • Start Date: Mid to late June
  • Accommodation & Sustenance fully paid by company
