We are working with a well-established organisation delivering critical services on one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure projects. Due to an urgent requirement within the commercial team, they are looking to appoint a Procurement Manager or experienced Senior Buyer ready to step up. This is a key role supporting a live, fast-paced project environment, with responsibility for managing procurement activity across multiple workstreams.
The Role
- Take ownership of procurement across a live infrastructure project, working closely with commercial, operational and site teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.
- Manage a yearly spend of £2m - £2.5m across materials, plant and subcontract services.
- Lead procurement activity across multiple packages within a live project environment.
- Manage and develop supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts and commercial terms.
- Support cost control and budget management alongside the commercial team.
- Ensure procurement processes are compliant, efficient and aligned with delivery requirements.
- Work closely with site teams to support programme delivery.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
What we’re looking for
- Experience within construction, infrastructure or a similar project-based environment.
- Experience in a procurement, buying or supply chain role within construction, infrastructure, engineering or site-based project delivery environments.
- Proven experience managing procurement across live projects or operational delivery environments.
- Strong experience negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial agreements.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator, able to work with site teams and senior stakeholders.

- Experience supporting site-based or project delivery teams.
