We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics Manager to join a busy construction project in Farringdon, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all site logistics operations to ensure the smooth running of the project
- Oversee the delivery, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment across site
- Supervise logistics operatives, traffic marshals, and subcontractors
- Develop and maintain logistics plans to support project timelines and site efficiency
- Coordinate vehicle movements and deliveries while minimising disruption
- Ensure site access and egress procedures are followed at all times
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Liaise with site management, clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Monitor site housekeeping standards and ensure all logistics activities are carried out safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (Gold or Black preferred)
- SSSTS or SMSTS Certificate
- Previous experience in a Logistics Manager role on construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction site logistics and health & safety legislation
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure
