A growing specialist contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to oversee external refurbishment, cladding and insulation projects across South Wales. Working across occupied residential and refurbishment environments, the successful candidate will take ownership of project delivery from pre-start through to completion, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards. This opportunity is available on either a permanent or freelance basis and offers long-term work with a business that continues to secure repeat business and framework opportunities across the region.
The Role
- Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of façade, cladding, EWI and building improvement projects.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Managing projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Driving programme delivery and monitoring project progress
- Managing health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
- Liaising with clients, consultants, residents and other key stakeholders
- Managing project documentation and reporting requirements
- Supporting Building Safety and Golden Thread information requirements
- Chairing site meetings and providing regular project updates
- Identifying and resolving technical, operational and logistical challenges
- Ensuring works are delivered within programme and budget constraints
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Project Manager within construction or refurbishment
- Experience delivering EWI, cladding, façade remediation, roofing, fire remediation or external envelope projects
- Experience managing occupied residential and social housing environments desirable
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site management procedures
- Experience managing subcontractors and client relationships
- Strong organisational and programme management skills
- Ability to lead multiple workstreams and drive projects through to completion
