Site Manager (Demolition Works) Bedford / Milton Keynes Area (MK43) A leading contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a major development project in the Bedford / Milton Keynes area. The initial phase of the project involves the demolition of a number of existing residential properties ahead of the main construction works. As a result, we are looking for a Site Manager with previous demolition experience who is confident managing demolition contractors and overseeing works safely through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile scheme at an early stage and play a key role in preparing the site for the next phase of development. Key Responsibilities * Managing demolition and enabling works on site * Coordinating subcontractors and daily site activities * Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with programme * Conducting inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections * Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation * Liaising with project teams, consultants and stakeholders * Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance * Monitoring progress, quality and programme delivery Requirements * Previous experience working as a Site Manager on demolition projects or demolition packages * SMSTS * CSCS Card * First Aid at Work * Strong knowledge of site health and safety procedures * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Ability to manage subcontractors and drive works on site Desirable (but not essential) * CCDO qualification * Demolition Supervisor or Demolition Management experience * Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) or Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) * Asbestos Awareness * Experience delivering enabling works packages What's on Offer * Competitive day rate * Immediate start available * Long-term opportunity * Major development project * Opportunity to join a well-established contractor on a high-profile scheme
