We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established electrical contractor based in the Glasgow region for an experienced Electrical Project Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and professional team delivering high-quality electrical installations across retail, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will oversee multiple electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The role is predominantly office-based, with site visits required once or twice a week to monitor progress, coordinate with clients, and support site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing electrical installation projects across retail, commercial, and industrial environments
- Planning, budgeting, and scheduling project activities
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Overseeing procurement of materials and coordination of labour
- Ensuring compliance with electrical regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures
- Conducting regular site visits (1–2 times per week) to review progress and resolve issues
- Providing technical support and problem-solving guidance throughout the project lifecycle
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager
- Strong background in retail electrical projects
- Additional experience working on commercial and industrial electrical installations
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of BS7671 and relevant health & safety legislation
- Full UK driving licence
