We're recruiting for a Site Engineer to join a highly successful contractor delivering major water, wastewater, utilities and infrastructure projects across South Wales. Working closely with Senior Engineers, Site Managers and Project Managers, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately, on programme and to the highest quality standards. The Role As Site Engineer, you will provide technical support to site delivery teams and take responsibility for setting out, quality assurance and engineering control across a range of civil engineering and water sector projects. Key responsibilities include: * Setting out and maintaining dimensional control for construction activities. * Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and design requirements. * Managing survey control and engineering records. * Conducting quality inspections, testing and assurance checks. * Producing and maintaining as-built records and QA documentation. * Monitoring progress and reporting on project performance. * Supporting the planning and coordination of site activities. * Building strong working relationships with site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders. * Identifying and resolving technical issues on site. * Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance. What We're Looking For -Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure or water projects. -Strong setting out and surveying experience. -Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and construction methods. -Experience of quality control and quality assurance processes. -Strong communication and problem-solving skills. -Proactive and organised approach to project delivery. -Ability to work effectively within a collaborative project team. Desirable Experience Experience within any of the following sectors would be advantageous: * Clean water projects * Wastewater projects * Utilities infrastructure * Pipelines and drainage * Reinforced concrete structures * Civil engineering infrastructure projects * Environmental improvement works * Earthworks and groundworks Qualifications * HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline. * CSCS Card. * Full UK Driving Licence. Highly Desirable * GPS and robotic total station experience. * AutoCAD knowledge. * NRSWA accreditation. * Temporary Works awareness. * SSSTS.
