We’re working with a well-established and growing construction contractor delivering high-quality projects across South Wales and the South West. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

The Role

  • Supporting the commercial management of construction projects from pre-construction through to final account
  • Working closely with the Commercial Director and wider project teams
  • Assisting with cost planning, budgeting and tender documentation
  • Managing subcontract procurement and valuations
  • Supporting cost control, cash flow and reporting
  • Assisting with interim valuations and final accounts
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
  • Liaising with clients, consultants and internal teams

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role (Assistant or QS level)
  • Background within construction (residential and/or commercial projects)
  • Strong commercial awareness and communication skills
  • Ability to manage workload and work as part of a team
  • Good understanding of standard forms of contract
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial software
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (or working towards)
