We’re working with a leading engineering and construction business delivering works on one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure projects. Due to ongoing project demands, they are looking to appoint an experienced Temporary Works Manager to join the team on site at Hinkley Point C.

This is a key role responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of Temporary Works across complex construction packages.

The Role

  • Lead and manage all Temporary Works activities across assigned work packages
  • Ensure compliance with BS 5975:2019 and CDM Regulations 2015
  • Maintain and manage the Temporary Works Register from design through to removal
  • Oversee design briefs, engineering design and independent verification processes
  • Ensure all works are correctly installed, inspected, certified and removed safely
  • Implement and manage permit-to-load / permit-to-strike processes
  • Work closely with contractors, engineers and project stakeholders
  • Lead audits, inspections and continuous improvement of Temporary Works processes

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar)
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng / IEng preferred)
  • CITB Temporary Works Coordinator certification
  • Strong experience in Temporary Works management within construction or infrastructure
  • In-depth knowledge of BS 5975 and Temporary Works procedures
  • Experience overseeing design, structural analysis and load assessments
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills

Package

  • Salary up to £75,000
  • Car allowance: £5,780
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • 9-day fortnight or standard 5-day week (your choice)
  • Lodge allowance: £355.67 per week (tax free)
  • Accommodation arranged and covered
  • Travel expenses covered (including mileage)
  • Private healthcare from day one
  • Life assurance (4x salary)
  • Pension (5.75% employer contribution)
