This is the ideal role for an ambitious university graduate (2.1 grade classification or higher) seeking an entry-level opportunity in sales. A driving licence is essential as the company will be providing a company car for this role. There is no previous experience required. The client-facing nature of the role will be suited to a confident individual who considers themselves a friendly, warm relationship builder. The fast-paced nature of the role will be demanding at times, leading to resilience being considered a key skill, as well as a target-driven mentality.

This opportunity is with a family-owned global business that specialises in companion animal nutraceuticals – non-drug substances that are administered with the intent of improving health and well-being of animals. Their products provide support to companion animals across the following categories: joints, gastrointestinal, internal organs, skin/coat, and brain/behaviour. Over 90% of their products are produced in-house in their own state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, with the business now having a presence in over 40 countries worldwide.

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for covering a geographical territory across the Kent area. Receiving market-leading training, the first 42 weeks of development are already laid out for you when starting this role. Some training will be done on-patch with the existing sales team, some virtually, and some on-site at HQ in Lytham (this will be fully expensed). Once fully up and running, a typical day in the role will consist of 3–4 meetings, split between pursuing new business or selling into existing accounts. You will represent the business's full range of nutraceuticals, selling into independent veterinary practices. The company philosophy is to promote from within, and current members of staff that started in this graduate role include the UK National Sales Manager, Business Unit Manager for Western Europe, and Northern Regional Sales Manager.
