The Role: Our client is a leading distribution organisation who specialise in lighting components, controls and drives. They are keen to bring in a Senior Sales Specialist within their Emergency Lighting division to cover OEM customers in the UK, Holland and Belgium with a view to helping them grow the division over the next few years.
You will be the expert across the business so a need for credibility and technical knowledge within the emergency lighting product portfolio is desirable. However, candidates with strong overall project lighting experience may also find this role attractive. Aside from the key account management part and new business part of your role, you will be providing support, coaching, and mentorship to more junior BDMs with a view to your role developing into sales management in the next few years.
Around 70% of your role will be key account management of some of our client's biggest OEM customers in the lighting sector. You will be conducting strategic account reviews, building relationships with buying teams, and really driving performance of those accounts. Naturally, there will be lots of opportunity for you to generate new business in addition to these key accounts. You will be given all the tools and data needed to make this successful. In addition, the commission scheme is lucrative and hard work & project wins will be rewarded.
Our client is looking for an experienced lighting sales professional who has some awareness of emergency lighting components and is keen to specialise in this growing sector. This is a technical solution that you will be selling and as such you will be a consultative sales professional who has a track record of dealing at the highest levels within OEM customers.
The Company: This client is a major distribution organisation within the emergency lighting components, controls, and drives sector. They have many exclusive agreements with major manufacturers across the globe to sell within the UK. They look after their people, create careers, and develop people - this is why the Sales Manager role has come to the fore, due to growth and to support the development of their Northern sales team. Their bonus scheme is generous, they operate a car allowance scheme to be super flexible, and their company culture is one of driven, passionate, individuals!
We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Can demonstrate a track record of business development within OEMs.
- Has sold lighting controls or ideally emergency lighting products to multi-site commercial companies.
- Could have worked as in lighting specification sales and wants to specialise.
- May have existing sales leadership experience, or want to develop into sales coaching.
- Professional & tenacious in approach.
- Full & Clean Driving licence.
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 basic salary DOE + £20k+ OTE (Uncapped) + Car Allowance + 25 days holiday + pension scheme + Healthcare scheme.
Candidate Location: UK open with good access to motorways.
