About the Company:

We're partnered with one of the UK's largest property services contractors. They serve a wide array of industries, from Healthcare & Education through to Defence & Security. About the Role:

Joining their North London-based team, you'll take on the role of a Painting Surveyor. You'll be responsible for managing all the financial & technical aspects of contracts, with the aim to keep costs down & value optimised. You'll be managing each project's finances from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting the measurement & preparing of cost estimates both for contracts & tenders.
  • Conducting site visits as required to assess the condition of existing paintwork on properties, identifying reparation needs & documenting appropriately.
  • Responsible for developing & maintaining rapport with subcontractors & suppliers as necessary; with the aim to foster strong relationships whilst ensuring efficiency.
  • Ensuring all contracts are monitored, kept in budget & within the project's timeline.
  • Support the commercial teams with tenders as required.
  • Assist to increase performance on projects that are not performing adequately. Reviewing contracts & tenders, highlighting risks.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience surveying and/or estimating painting works, within the construction/property services sector.
  • Strong understanding of the financial & contractual variables to be assessed & controlled on contracts.
  • Experience liaising with subcontractors & suppliers to ensure partnerships & the building of strong relationships.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Experience assisting sales teams with tenders.

Package:

  • Salary: £60,000 - £68,000 per annum (DOE)
