The Role of Area Sales Engineer: We are seeking a dynamic and driven engineer, to grow sales of industrial 'smart' tools and production software to manufacturing companies in the automotive, aerospace off highway, truck and bus industries across northwest England and north Wales. These could be OEMs such as Bentley, JCB, Rolls Royce, General Motors and Leyland DAF as well as the tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers. This is very much a project-based sales process, partnering with customers to help them improve their productivity, efficiency and profitability. As they are a household brand in this sector, the role is heavily focused on winning sales from existing customers (80%). A typical week will see you spending 3 days onsite with customers and the other two days either working from home or at the company's HQ in Cheshire, working with the highly skilled project delivery team.
For the position of Area Sales Engineer, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Either a time served engineer looking for a move into technical sales OR
- Recent graduate in an engineering discipline OR
- Experienced technical sales professional selling into production end users and tiered supply chain
- Engaging, positive and thrives working as part of a team

- Clean driving license
