The Role:
Our client is a major name within the cable manufacturing & electrification industries and is looking to onboard a new Regional Sales Development Manager in the North West region. The role will see you selling a huge array of cables for various applications such as renewable energy, carbon capture, data centre, rail, automotive, and power - all of which fall under the 'electrification of everything' which is growing at a fantastic pace and is here to stay!
The Regional Sales Development Manager will be working alongside OEMs within these sectors, designing in products with Design Engineers & System Integrators at harness houses, modular control businesses, and switchgear manufacturers, and then working alongside the M&E Contractors who will be installing these products into new build construction & renewable energy projects across the region. This is a technical, specification-led, field sales role where a consultative & design-led approach are necessary for success. Typically you'll be targeting projects in excess of £250k, with some of the larger projects touching £7m! Naturally, this means the sales cycles can get quite long.
The Regional Sales Development Manager will be supported by an in-house marketing and account management team. This role will see you conducting new business development 70% of your time and managing existing projects 30%. This client is a global leader within the electrical market specialising in the manufacture & distribution of cable products for a variety of applications. They have a strong training & development ethos and look after their people. They like to promote from within where possible which means genuine career opportunities can be had here for those that excel and want it, especially in the sales teams. Their bonus structure is very appealing and top performers are rewarded extremely well.
Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 3 years B2B field sales background and a passion for the growing electrification sector.
- Can demonstrate a track record in selling a product over longer, challenging, sales cycles.
- Have a track record of working on sizeable projects with OEMs or within infrastructure.
- Coming from an industrial, electrical or manufacturing sales environment.
- Full & Clean Driving licence.
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 basic salary DOE + £20k+ OTE (uncapped) + Car or Car Allowance + 24 days holiday + pension scheme + Healthcare scheme.
