  • Company Training & Various Routes of Progression, The Role: BMS are recruiting for a new Modernisation Sales Consultant for a market leading organisation in the lift & escalator industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Scotland region in which you will be working with commercial businesses who have existing lift shafts and are in need of new equipment or a refurb. With this in mind, you will conducting lift shaft surveys, working with colleagues to build product solutions from a range of suppliers, including your own manufacturing plant, and selling those packages. Selling directly to end users, this role is predominantly new business development in nature (80% of the time), targeting any business with an existing lift or escalator such as: retailers, commercial buildings, education, healthcare etc. Contacting facilities or building management companies, you will deal with property managers, facilities managers, heads of maintenance, estates agents, procurement and business owners. This role will see you working

closely with a Project Management team based in Glasgow, and you will be supported by the other sales professionals in the region passing leads. To be considered for this role you must have strong commercial awareness, but you absolutely must have lift engineering experience and are comfortable conducting your own lift shaft surveys. The Service Sales Consultant will be enrolled into a completely uncapped commission scheme, paid monthly, which rewards both new contract acquisition as well as renewing existing clients.

For this role, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a lift engineering background – have the ability to conduct lift shaft surveys alone

  • Strong relationship builder – either a sales background or a passion to get into a sales role

  • Deal with decision makers at all levels

  • Live within the Central Belt area

  • Driving License

Package: Up to £50,000 basic DOE plus £10k-15k uncapped OTE year 1 (paid monthly), 26 days holiday, enhanced maternity/paternity, healthcare cash plan, death in service, contributory pension scheme, company car scheme
