My client is a leading global manufacturer and distributor of durable medical equipment and healthcare products. With over 20 years of experience, they provide innovative solutions such as mobility aids, respiratory devices, and homecare beds to improve the quality of life for individuals with special needs. Committed to excellence, they continue to be a trusted leader in enhancing independence and comfort for patients and caregivers worldwide.
As a Junior Buyer, you will be assisting in the day-to-day running of the purchasing department, ensuring excellent service is delivered to our external and internal stakeholders. This is an office-based, Monday-Friday position working 8am-4:30pm. This role comes with great career progression with the idea of the role to develop into a fully fledged senior buyer within 18 months. There is excellent training and a friendly working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with suppliers to place purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and maintain quality.
- Monitor inventory levels, analyze stock requirements, and ensure optimal stock availability.
- Conduct research on new suppliers, materials, and industry trends to support purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, update procurement databases, and generate reports for senior buyers.
- IT Literate.
- Practical working knowledge of MRP/ERP, day to day experience demonstrable.
- Purchasing experience. Experienced within a manufacturing environment (essential).
- Membership of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) desired.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Salary £30,000-£32,000 per annum.
- 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) + your birthday off.
- Laptop, mobile phone, and full product training provided.
