The Role:

We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join a leading provider of events and information on non-financial risk in financial institutions. In this full-time, permanent role, you will sell sponsorships for high-profile events, conferences, and surveys to GRC, risk, and control practitioners managing non-financial risk. You will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with consultants, technology vendors, and C-suite executives across 10 existing accounts. Your focus will be on exceeding sales targets through new business development while educating potential clients on industry-leading events and risk management solutions. The BDM will play a pivotal role in ensuring client satisfaction and retention by collaborating with the wider team to deliver exceptional service. You will be supported by a high-performing team with ample growth opportunities to develop into an Account Director.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of proven success in B2B new business sales, ideally in a fast-paced, events sales environment.
  • Experience in financial services or media is beneficial but not required.
  • A genuine interest in the finance industry and a willingness to learn quickly.
  • A sales-driven mindset with a passion for new business development and meeting sales targets.
  • A customer-centric approach with a strong sense of responsibility toward clients and colleagues.
