The Company
Our client is an established supplier of specialist industrial and construction equipment, supporting customers across Ireland with high-quality tools, service, and technical expertise. Known for their strong customer relationships and commitment to reliability, they operate in demanding site environments where uptime and technical support are critical. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering all 32 counties of Ireland, with the role advertised from County Down.

The Role
The successful candidate will provide on-site technical support to customers nationwide, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on specialist construction and industrial tools. This is a field-based role involving regular travel across Ireland, including overnight stays as required.

  • Diagnosing, repairing, and servicing power tools at customer sites across Ireland
  • Carrying out scheduled maintenance for key customer accounts
  • Providing technical advice and basic training to customers on correct tool usage
  • Completing service reports and maintaining accurate repair records
  • Managing spare parts used during field repairs
  • Building strong working relationships with customers through professional service delivery

The main equipment worked on will include electronic and mechanical tools, primarily nail guns and rebar guns, along with related drilling equipment.

The Candidate
Our client is seeking a hands-on technical professional with:

  • Experience repairing or servicing power tools, construction equipment, or industrial machinery
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (mechanics will be considered)
  • Basic electrical or electronic fault-finding ability
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Ireland
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently
  • A practical, customer-focused approach

Full product training will be provided.

Package
Our client offers a comprehensive and attractive package, including:
