Our client is a rapidly growing medical device distributor known for introducing advanced surgical technologies to healthcare providers. Their portfolio includes innovative products used across colorectal, gynaecological and general surgery. With continued growth and successful product launches across Ireland, the company is investing further in clinical support and education and is now looking to appoint a Clinical Advisor to support hospital customers throughout Ireland, ideally based in or near Belfast.
This is a clinically focused position where you will work closely with surgeons, theatre nurses and operating department practitioners, providing expert support and education on the company's surgical technologies. A significant portion of your time will be spent in operating theatres assisting during procedures, ensuring clinical teams are confident using the products and supporting the safe adoption of new surgical techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing in-theatre clinical support during surgical procedures
- Delivering product training and education to surgeons and theatre staff
- Supporting product evaluations and clinical trials across hospital sites
- Acting as a trusted clinical resource for healthcare professionals
- Working closely with the wider commercial and clinical teams to support product implementation and adoption
- Travelling across Ireland to support hospital customers and key accounts
This is a field-based role that will suit someone who enjoys working in theatre environments, building strong relationships with clinicians and playing a hands-on role in supporting surgical innovation.
Candidate Profile
This role would suit a healthcare professional who enjoys working in theatre environments and is passionate about supporting surgical teams and improving patient outcomes. We welcome applications from theatre nurses, ODPs or other healthcare professionals with operating theatre experience who are interested in transitioning into a clinical industry role. Clinical specialists or educators already supporting medical technologies will also be considered, as well as life science or biomedical graduates with relevant clinical exposure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of surgical procedures, confidence working alongside surgeons and theatre teams, excellent communication and training skills and the ability to work independently while managing a busy territory. Previous exposure to surgical stapling or energy devices would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided.
The Package
