What we’re looking for – skills and capabilities
General Duties- To support the team by photocopying, filing, and carrying out other duties as directed.
- Carry out copying and binding tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain filing system and ensure that files are regularly scanned.
- Keep department tidy in relation to files and paper etc.
- Assist within the team generally.
- Assist in any ad hoc tasks.
- Adhere to company and regulatory policies, procedures together with mandatory training requirements.
- To deal with all aspects of Premium processing as directed by your Head of Department.
- Adhere to the departmental procedures and service level agreements.
- Process and monitor incoming post.
- Create and maintain files.
- Assess and process premium movements.
- Produce and send client/market documentation.
- Handle premium submissions via A&S.
- Input document details on the in-house systems.
- Produce accurate statistics/reports where required.
- Deal with market and/or client queries and liaise with the accounts department to ensure prompt payment of balances.
- Liaise with other departments when problems arise.
- Carry out various departmental ad hoc tasks and reports.
- Maintain statistical data.
- To deal with all aspects of the claims and accounting process from receipt through to settlement.
- Process and monitor incoming post and create and maintain claims files.
- Broke advices and collections to London Market where appropriate.
- Obtain agreement to advices and collections via CLASS system for ECFL.
- Liaise with the Insurance Accounts Department to ensure prompt payment of claims.
- Ensure cash is posted and allocated in a timely manner.
- Produce accurate statistics/reports where required.
- Deal with market, client and internal queries.
- Assist in all aspect of general account handling.
What we’re looking for - functional & behavioural competencies
- 7 GCSEs Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Ability to effectively contribute to the team and interact with others.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to use own initiative to work out any problems which may arise.
- Professional attitude to work.
- Punctual and conscientious.
