An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Sales Engineer to join one of the UK's most successful and fastest growing family-owned valve manufacturers supplying into the Petrochem industry. This full-time permanent position is ideal for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys autonomy, building relationships and winning business in competitive industrial markets.
As Technical Sales Engineer, you will take ownership of a well-established territory covering the Home Counties and wider southern UK region, alongside selected international responsibility. You'll work closely with distributors, OEMs, EPC contractors and end users to grow market share and deliver profitable, sustainable sales. You will drive specification activity, identify new OEM opportunities, and convert project pipelines into orders.
The role also involves representing the business at exhibitions and industry events, gathering market intelligence and feeding back customer insight to support product development and strategy. Strong territory planning and CRM pipeline management will be key to success as Technical Sales Engineer. A typical week will see you visiting customer sites 3 or 4 days and 1 or 2 days working from home.
Requirements
- Engineering qualification (mechanical or similar) or strong technical experience
- Proven background in technical or solution-led sales of mechanical products/systems
- Organised, reliable and detail focused with a proactive attitude
- Driving licence
- Able to travel overseas on business

The Package for Technical Sales Engineer
