We’re recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised engineering manufacturer known for high-quality industrial equipment and long-term employee development. Their UK operation combines cutting-edge technology with a strong service network.

This Field Service Engineer role is split 60% site-based and 40% workshop-based in South Shields. You’ll service, maintain, and repair steam boiler systems alongside compressors and related equipment, supporting a diverse client base.

Requirements:

  • Proven steam experience (industrial, marine, or naval)
  • Steam qualifications (BG01 desirable)
  • Multi-skilled mechanical/electrical background
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willing to stay away ~1 night per week

Package:

  • Salary up to £40,000 (total earnings, with overtime, bonus etc 48-50K)
  • Bonus scheme
  • Company vehicle
  • 15% pension (5% employee / 10% employer)
  • Overtime up to £8,000
  • 25 days holiday + banks (rising to 27)
  • Private medical post-probation
