We’re recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised engineering manufacturer known for high-quality industrial equipment and long-term employee development. Their UK operation combines cutting-edge technology with a strong service network.

This Steam Project Team Leader role covers projects across the UK, based within commuting distance of South Shields. You’ll lead installations, upgrades, and major works on steam boiler systems and associated equipment, while supporting compressors where required. The role combines site leadership with planning and coordination responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Proven steam experience (industrial, marine, or naval)
  • Steam qualifications (BG01 desirable)
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Multi-skilled mechanical/electrical background
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willing to stay away ~1-3 nights per week

Package:

  • Salary up to £50,000
  • Company vehicle
  • 15% pension (5% employee / 10% employer)
  • Bonus 10%
  • 25 days holiday + banks (rising to 27)
