At BMS, we've been engaged to recruit a Business Development Manager for a world-leading provider of trade credit insurance solutions. This is a pure new business role focused on helping SMEs protect themselves against bad debt and customer non-payment.

The Role
- Sell trade credit insurance solutions to SME clients across the UK.
- Target business owners, Managing Directors, Finance Directors, and Financial Controllers.
- Focus exclusively on new business acquisition.
- Work a territory covering Central, North East London and Essex.
- Leverage a strong flow of opportunities generated through partnerships, broker networks, marketing activity, and internal lead generation teams.
- Progression - Clear pathway into larger corporate accounts and senior commercial roles within a global market leader.
The Candidate
- 3+ years of field-based B2B sales experience.
- Strong new business mentality with a track record of winning and closing opportunities.
- Experience within financial services, insurance, invoice finance, business lending, wealth management, or other consultative B2B solutions would be highly advantageous.
- Commercially astute with the ability to understand company financials and identify opportunity.
- Professional, credible, and confident engaging senior business leaders.
- Highly organised with strong qualification and pipeline management skills.
The Package
- Basic Salary: £40,000-£50,000
