About the Company:
Our client is an established and growing family-run Mechanical & Electrical services provider delivering maintenance, installation, and project work across the North of England. With an excellent reputation for quality, reliability, and long-standing client relationships, they work across a broad range of sectors including education, public sector, commercial buildings, and critical facilities. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Pipefitter / HVAC Installer to support project delivery across Yarm and surrounding areas.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on role focused primarily on commercial pipework installations within boiler rooms and plant rooms across schools, public sector, and commercial sites. The role is heavily biased towards commercial heating and pipework installations rather than ductwork and would suit someone who enjoys working across a variety of sites and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out commercial pipework installations across a range of sites
- Install and modify iron and copper pipework systems
- Work within plant rooms and boiler rooms, predominantly within schools and public sector environments
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Install heating and associated mechanical systems
- Complete reactive repairs and system modifications where required
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or equivalent in Plumbing & Heating, Mechanical Building Services, or similar
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within commercial pipefitting or HVAC installation
- Strong experience installing iron and copper pipework (15mm upwards)
- Previous experience working within boiler rooms and plant rooms
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Experience within commercial or public sector environments
- Full UK Driving Licence

- Salary: Up to £42,500 depending on experience
