This is a fantastic new-business opportunity for a proven capital equipment sales professional looking to make their mark within a company, setting the standard in new business acquisition.
We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven New Business Development Manager to join a leading professional coffee equipment business to take responsibility for winning new customers across the UK.
This is an out-and-out new business role where you will focus purely on identifying prospects, opening doors, developing relationships and winning new accounts before handing them over to the wider team.
You’ll be selling a market-leading portfolio of professional bean-to-cup coffee machines, working with some of the UK’s most exciting and established hospitality and foodservice businesses.
Who you’ll be targeting…
Your focus will be on winning new business across
- Regional and national coffee shop chains
- Hotels and hotel groups
- Restaurants and restaurant groups
- Contract caterers
- Other large-scale hospitality and foodservice operators
You’ll engage with senior commercial, procurement, operations and hospitality decision-makers, understanding their requirements and presenting the right coffee solution for their business.
What you’ll be doing…
This is a true hunter position. You’ll be responsible for the complete new-business sales process from prospecting through to winning the account. You’ll:
- Identify and target new business opportunities across your territory.
- Build a pipeline of high-value prospects from scratch.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers across hospitality and foodservice.
- Arrange and lead customer meetings, demonstrations and presentations.
- Understand customer requirements and develop compelling commercial proposals.
- Manage complex capital equipment sales cycles through to close.
- Negotiate commercial terms and secure new contracts.
- Win new customers and successfully hand them over to the relevant account/delivery teams.
- Consistently develop new opportunities rather than managing an inherited account base.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and activity records.
- What we’re looking for…
We’re looking for a proven new-business field sales professional who enjoys hunting for opportunities and winning customers. Ideally, you’ll have:
- A strong track record in new-business field sales.
- Previous experience selling capital equipment.
- Experience selling into coffee shops, hotels, restaurants, contract caterers or wider hospitality/foodservice environments.
- The confidence to engage with senior decision-makers and build relationships from cold.
- Experience managing longer, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- A highly proactive, self-motivated approach.
- A genuine hunter mentality – you’re motivated by opening doors and winning new logos.
Why this opportunity?
This is an opportunity to represent a premium portfolio of professional bean-to-cup coffee machines in a market where businesses are increasingly looking for quality, consistency, efficiency and scalable coffee solutions.
You’ll have the opportunity to engage with major hospitality and foodservice operators and play a direct role in growing the business through new customer acquisition.
If you’re the type of salesperson who gets excited by finding a prospect, opening the door, winning the opportunity and moving on to the next one, this could be a very good fit.
- The Package…
- Basic Salary £60-70,000 plus competitive commission structure
- Car Allowance or Company Car
- Life Assurance, Enhanced non-contributory Company Pension
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Birthday Off
