Role responsibilities
- Set and deliver the marketing strategy for a division running a portfolio of major international events each year
- Lead, develop and grow a team of marketers and an editorial function, including future hiring
- Report on key marketing performance indicators and share results with senior leadership on a regular basis
- Run and share the results of a marketing test every month to keep the team’s approach sharp
- Own editorial strategy and content direction across the event portfolio
- Work closely with production, sales and other departments to hit shared business goals
- Track competitor activity and emerging marketing methods to keep the division ahead of the curve
Candidate background
- 6+ years marketing experience, ideally gained in B2B publishing, conferences, events or exhibitions
- At least 2 years managing and developing a team, with a genuine ability to coach and motivate
- Strong digital marketing skills across SEO, SEM and social media
- Commercially minded, comfortable owning budgets and reporting on ROI
- A confident communicator able to work with stakeholders at every level
- Self driven and able to manage multiple priorities independently
