Role Overview: Lead BMS Engineer
This role involves the service, maintenance, and optimisation of Building Management Systems (BMS) across a portfolio of public sector and education sites. You’ll work closely with internal project and estimating teams to identify system improvements, deliver small works, and ensure all BMS infrastructure is operating efficiently.
This is a customer‑facing, hands‑on position requiring strong technical expertise and communication skills. You’ll also play a key role in developing the BMS team within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine BMS planned maintenance and reactive service visits.
- Commission, configure, and test BMS / BeMS systems for optimal performance.
- Identify and quote for small works, upgrades, and energy efficiency improvements.
- Carry out control panel and wiring modifications, graphics updates, and software adjustments.
- Provide diagnostic support and technical advice to clients.
- Ensure BMS systems operate efficiently and comply with industry standards.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and compliance records.
- Liaise professionally with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with BMS systems (Trend, Schneider, Honeywell, Delta, etc.).
- Strong background in HVAC systems (AHUs, FCUs, chillers) and general M&E services.
- Good understanding of BMS networking, control strategies, and energy optimisation.
- HNC/HND (or equivalent experience) in engineering or facilities management.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and fault‑finding skills.
- Ability to manage workload independently across multiple sites.
- Full UK Driving Licence (company vehicle provided).
Package:
- Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
