Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to recruit an experienced HVAC Installer to support project delivery across Yarm and surrounding areas. Role Overview
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll play an important part in delivering mechanical installation projects across multiple client sites. You’ll be involved in a wide range of heating, ventilation, and associated mechanical systems, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll work on both new installations and upgrades to existing systems, taking ownership of work on‑site and supporting successful project delivery from start to finish. No two days will be the same. One day you may be installing mechanical pipework and heating systems on a commercial site, while the next you could be working on air handling systems, ventilation equipment, or carrying out modifications and improvements for existing clients. The role offers a good balance of independence and teamwork, giving you the opportunity to manage your own workload while also working closely with project teams and other engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out installation and repair work across a range of heating, ventilation, and mechanical systems.
- Installing and modifying mechanical pipework systems.
- Installing and maintaining HVAC equipment including: Air Handling Units (AHUs), Ventilation and extraction systems, Heating equipment, Convectors, Flue systems, Mechanical plant equipment.
- Completing insulation and finishing works where required.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out reactive repair work.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Plumbing & Heating, Heating & Ventilation, or Mechanical Building Services.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in HVAC installation, heating, ventilation, mechanical pipe fitting, or similar roles.
- Experience working on commercial or public sector projects would be beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of heating and ventilation systems.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Site Safety / CSCS qualification or equivalent.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Package
Salary: Up to £42,500 depending on experience. Additional benefits include: Company vehicle, Company pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, Additional Christmas shutdown period included, Training and development opportunities, Career progression opportunities.
