Are you a technical expert with a passion for developing others? Ready to take full ownership of a national Centre of Excellence and shape the future of technical training?

We’re looking for a UK Training Manager to lead and grow the presence of a UK Training Centre, delivering high-impact industry certified training across a specialist Nexans range of medium voltage (MV) 11kV to 72kV, jointing accessories, and solutions.

The Opportunity

This is a unique role combining technical expertise, leadership, and strategic influence. You’ll be at the forefront of writing, delivering and auditing the training content and courses for industry customers of Nexans power accessory products. Typical customers and delegates will include Offshore & EPC contractors, OEM clients, Industrial Engineers and Jointers and Distribution Network Operators. You will be ensuring best-in-class training delivery to all delegates as well as supporting product growth and market expansion for Nexans.

You’ll take full ownership of the UK Training Centre, hosting groups of around 6 delegates across 3-5 day courses to ensure that they have the knowledge required to work with the Nexans product portfolio. You will also be working closely with sales, marketing and product teams across the Nexans business to support their company training and knowledge and follow up with their external customers and stakeholders where needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the UK Training Centre of Excellence
  • Deliver engaging, hands-on technical training (theory & practical)
  • Develop and continuously improve training materials and programmes
  • Support new product launches through training and technical input
  • Work closely with Sales, Product Marketing and other Internal teams to strengthen their product and technical capability
  • Deliver customer training and represent the business externally
  • Support training activities across other international centres when required
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental standards

What We’re Looking For

  • May be currently working as a technical trainer for a similar power or electrical business
  • Could be an Industrial Electrician, Engineer or Jointer looking to change direction
  • May be working for a Network Operator and want to join a manufacturer
  • Lecturers or education professionals with an electrical engineering focus should also apply
  • Strong technical background in MV products, power, or related electrical fields
  • Proven experience delivering technical training or knowledge transfer
  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously
  • Engineering degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Full UK driving licence
