Are you a relationship‑driven sales professional who thrives on growing existing customer partnerships with a proven track record in managing Kitchen & Bathroom Showroom’s, Builders Merchants &/or Plumbers Merchants to their full potential?
Our client who are an incredibly well established and popular brand offering a portfolio of over 6,000 products including baths, showers, tiles, toilets and basins, are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to take ownership of an established territory, developing long‑term customer relationships while driving growth, retention, and exceptional service.
This is a field‑based role focused predominantly on account management, working with a loyal customer base to identify opportunities, maximise revenue, and ensure customers receive the highest level of support.
The Role
- Manage and develop an established portfolio of customers across the region.
- Build strong, long‑lasting relationships with key decision‑makers.
- Increase customer retention through proactive account management.
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue through upselling and cross‑selling.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand business needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve any issues quickly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate account plans, forecasts, and CRM records.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
About You
- Proven experience in field sales or account management looking after a portfolio of kitchen & bathroom showrooms, builders merchants &/or plumbers merchants.
- Ideally you will have sold one or more of the products that they sell
- Strong relationship‑building and customer retention skills.
- Commercially minded with a track record of growing existing accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational abilities.
- Self‑motivated and able to manage a regional territory independently.
- Full UK driving licence.
