Established UK manufacturer with ambitious growth plans
Full ownership of a high-potential Midlands territory
Long-term opportunity to build a valuable regional patch
The Company
We are working with a respected UK-based manufacturer specialising in physical security and access control solutions, including gates, barriers, turnstiles, bollards and ongoing service contracts. Their products are widely deployed across commercial property, critical infrastructure, construction, stadia and public-sector environments. With over two decades of operation, the business has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability and technical expertise. They benefit from a loyal customer base, a solid platform for growth and a leadership team focused on scaling the organisation responsibly.
As a result of continued expansion and the development of new framework opportunities, the business is now appointing two Area Sales Managers – one for the Midlands and one for the South. Both roles are newly created and focused on regional growth rather than account maintenance.
The Role
This is a true new-business sales role, ideal for someone comfortable opening doors and building momentum in an underdeveloped territory. You’ll engage with a wide range of technical and operational stakeholders, uncover site and security challenges, and present tailored, consultative solutions. Covering the Midlands, you’ll work remotely with full autonomy over your diary. You’ll be responsible for generating your own opportunities, meeting customers on site, and managing the sales process from initial conversation through to contract award. Accounts you win will remain yours to develop, allowing you to build a sustainable, profitable portfolio over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across the Midlands region
- Manage the full sales cycle using a consultative, solution-led approach
- Promote UK-manufactured physical security and access control solutions
- Engage with FM teams, security managers, estates teams, engineers, regional operations and procurement
- Combine inbound leads with proactive outbound activity and partner referrals
- Maintain structured pipeline management with consistent activity levels
About You
- Background in B2B technical sales (e.g. engineering, physical security, access control, fire & security)
- Proven ability to build a sales pipeline from a cold or low-base territory
- Comfortable managing opportunities end-to-end through to close
- Highly organised, resilient and commercially focused
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to territory management
- Full UK driving licence
The Package
- £45,000-£55,000 base salary
- Circa £15,000 uncapped OTE (monthly bonus structure)
- £500 per month car allowance or company vehicle
- Pension, mobile phone, expenses and holiday allowance
- Comprehensive onboarding and product training
