THE COMPANY: Our client is a leading international manufacturer of heavy plant and construction machinery, supplying premium equipment into construction, quarrying, and infrastructure sectors. Known for engineering quality and reliability, they provide strong technical training and long-term career progression.
THE ROLE: As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy plant equipment on customer sites. Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing and repairing diggers, excavators, loaders, dumpers, and associated heavy plant machinery
- Carrying out diagnostics and fault-finding on hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Performing planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation
- Delivering high levels of customer service on site
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety standards
This is a field-based role covering Greater Belfast and wider Northern Ireland.
THE PERSON: Our client is seeking candidates who:
- Have experience working as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, Construction Equipment Technician, or similar
- Have strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and diesel systems
- Are confident diagnosing faults on heavy plant machinery
- Have experience working on excavators, loaders, dumpers, or similar equipment
- Hold a full clean driving licence
Experience with premium OEM equipment would be advantageous.
THE PACKAGE:
- Salary: £35,000 – £42,000
- Door-to-door travel pay (worth an additional £5,000 – £10,000 per annum)
