The Business
We’re supporting a long-established UK manufacturer operating within the physical security and access control space. The company designs and supplies a broad range of solutions including gates, barriers, turnstiles, bollards and associated service contracts. Their systems are widely used across commercial estates, transport and infrastructure, construction projects, stadia and public-sector environments. After more than 20 years in operation, the business has a strong market presence, repeat customers and a leadership team investing heavily in future growth.
As part of this expansion, they are recruiting an Area Sales Manager to take ownership of the South of the UK. This is a newly created role, focused on increasing market penetration and building sustainable regional revenue.
The Opportunity
This position suits a proactive sales professional who enjoys developing new relationships and growing a territory over time. You’ll work with technical, operational and commercial stakeholders to understand site requirements and deliver tailored security solutions. Covering the southern region, you’ll operate remotely and manage your own diary. The role combines outbound business development with inbound opportunities, taking ownership of the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract award. Any accounts you secure will remain under your management, giving you the opportunity to develop a strong, recurring revenue base.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow new business across the South of the UK
- Manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle
- Sell UK-manufactured physical security and access control solutions
- Engage with FM teams, security leads, estates managers, engineers and procurement
- Balance inbound leads with proactive prospecting and partner referrals
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecast activity
Candidate Profile
- Experience in B2B technical or solutions-based sales (e.g. physical security, access control, engineering, fire & security)
- Demonstrated ability to build a sales pipeline from new or underdeveloped regions
- Confident managing deals from first contact to close
- Structured, persistent and commercially aware
- Comfortable working autonomously across a large territory
- Full UK driving licence
Package & Benefits
- £45,000-£55,000 base salary
