Live in carer

We are recruiting a Romanian speaking reliable, calm and experienced Support Worker to support an adult female client with complex physical and medical needs as she transitions from a nursing home into her own home after 7 years in residential care.

This is a long-term placement for the right person

About the Client

• Adult female, originally from Romania
• Wheelchair user and double lower-limb amputee
• Living with chronic blood cancer and currently undergoing chemotherapy
• History of breast cancer (Stage 1)
• Type 1 diabetic (insulin dependent)
• Experiences chronic pain, migraines, and neurological symptoms
• Cognitively able, intelligent, well-educated (Psychology degree)
• Independent with medication
• Values privacy, consistency, and clear communication
• Enjoys reading, computers, and planning her new home

Support Required

• Mobility support and wheelchair assistance
• Support with daily living tasks
• Monitoring health and recognising signs of infection or deterioration
• Emotional support during transition into independent living
• Supporting attendance at hospital appointments
• Maintaining a clean, safe home environment

No medication administration required at present, but awareness of complex conditions is essential.

Essential Requirements

• Experience supporting adults with complex physical and medical needs
• Driver with own vehicle
• Confident working with wheelchair users
• Calm, observant, and emotionally mature
• Reliable and consistent – this is NOT a casual role
• Able to follow care plans and respond appropriately to medical changes
• Good spoken and written English
• Right to work in the UK

• People who cancel shifts last minute
• Anyone uncomfortable with complex health conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £1,300.00 per week
