We are currently recruiting Surface Mount Technicians and Electronics Assembly Operators for a leading global manufacturer based in Eastbourne. Due to increased demand, the business requires multiple operators to support production. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, market-leading electronics manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality and advanced manufacturing facilities.
The Role
You will be working within a busy electronics manufacturing environment supporting production and assembly operations. Responsibilities include:
- Operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines on a busy production line
- Loading feeders with reels, sticks and trays
- Electronic assembly and production line work
- Hand soldering of electronic components (IPC Level 2 desirable)
- Visual inspection and quality checking of components and soldered connections
- Ensuring finished products meet required quality and manufacturing standards
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Surface Mount Technician or Electronics Assembly Operator
- Experience operating SMT machines (programming not required)
- Soldering experience preferred (IPC Level 2 beneficial but not essential)
- Experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting
Shift Patterns (37 Hours per Week)
Early Shift
- Monday – Thursday: 06:00 – 14:15
- Friday: 06:00 – 12:00
- Pay: Hourly rate + 4% shift allowance
Night Shift
- Monday – Thursday: 22:00 – 06:15
- Friday: 17:30 – 23:30
- Pay: Hourly rate + 33% shift allowance
