We are currently recruiting for a Production Assembler to join a successful manufacturing company based in Chippenham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, warehouse or factory environments who is looking to join a stable and growing business. The position is initially offered on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension depending on workload and business requirements.
The Role
Working as part of a friendly production team, you will be responsible for assembling products and components while ensuring quality standards are maintained. Typical duties will include:
- Assembling products and components to defined standards
- Following work instructions and assembly guides
- Using hand tools and basic production equipment
- Carrying out visual quality inspections
- Packing and preparing finished products for dispatch
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Supporting the wider production team to achieve daily targets
Full training will be provided where required.
About You
Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, although candidates from a range of production and assembly backgrounds will be considered. You may have worked as a:
- Production Operative
- Assembly Operative
- Manufacturing Operative
- Warehouse Operative
- Machine Operative
- Factory Operative
- Production Assistant
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working within a manufacturing, production or assembly environment
- Good attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good reliability and timekeeping
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Experience of mechanical, electrical or electronic assembly would be advantageous but is not essential.
