A Mendix Software Developer and Database Administrator sought for a globally recognised manufacturer based in Chippenham. The main responsibilities are maintaining and developing a Mendix database, implementing design changes to assure effectiveness and quality before rolling out to the production server and liaising with production and engineering to understand change requirements.

The Role:

  • Maintain and develop a Mendix database.
  • Implement design changes within a test environment.
  • Technical lead for projects, liaising with IT, Cyber security and Network Engineers to ensure the system is fully compliant with company requirements.
  • Work with production engineers and internal production teams to understand change requirements.
  • Provide technical knowledge and support to the manufacturing operations engineering teams.
  • Support existing and new developments where required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices operated by the company.

The Person:

  • Good understanding of low-code development.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, JAVA and CSS.
  • Experience in working in a manufacturing environment or similar.
  • An ability to plan and prioritise workload to meet required deadlines and performance standards.
  • An ability to maintain and improve effective working practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A flexible attitude towards work and can respond to business priorities appropriately.
