Our client, a global leader in high-technology solutions, is seeking an enthusiastic Innovation Developer to join their Innovation Team at a state-of-the-art facility in Severn Beach, Bristol.
This role focuses on developing AI-driven solutions and prototyping transformative technologies using Python, contributing to advancements in semiconductor applications.
You’ll collaborate with a diverse team of technologists, engineers, and scientists in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment. The company is committed to fostering innovation, inclusivity, and career growth, empowering you to make a global impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clean, efficient code in Python (using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) to build and test ML models and prototypes in Linux environments
- Expand programming skills to other languages (e.g., C++, Java) as needed for project requirements
- Support the development of AI-powered solutions for the company’s product roadmap
- Work with engineering, application, and customer support teams to apply AI insights to real-world applications
- Engage with customers and teammates to understand project needs, with occasional opportunities for international travel
- Contribute to cutting-edge projects in additive manufacturing, plasma simulations, and AI-driven technologies
- Embrace a proactive approach to learning AI, ML, and semiconductor technologies within a mentorship-focused team
The Person/Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Fortran, Julia, or Java, with familiarity with Linux environments
- Experience with AI/ML libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or simulation methods (desirable)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a curious, innovative mindset
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
- Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (desirable)
- Skills equivalent to a mid-level computer scientist or junior AI/ML engineer, with strong object-oriented programming and testing capabilities (desirable)
