Hardware Engineering Lead (Electronics) Bristol Up to £65,000 DOE + 26 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Flexible Start and Finish Times + Pension + Life Insurance + Private Healthcare + Profit-Related Bonus Monday to Friday Hardware Engineering Lead sought within a specialised division of a global manufacturing brand offering bespoke mechanical/electro engineered solutions to the oil and gas, rail and subsea sectors. As the Hardware Engineering Lead you’ll be responsible for the development and support of the Hardware Engineering team you will review and approve team deliverables to ensure that all work meets quality standards. Additionally, you will work closely with the Programme Manager and other stakeholders to prioritise projects and manage workloads. Part of your role will involve serving as a technical authority for hardware platform development and collaborating with the Operations Engineering Manager to support the company’s goals. You will also champion electrical health and safety, advocating for best practices within the team and across the company. The ideal Hardware Engineering Lead will have hands-on experience with Altium and SolidWorks PDM vault and will be comfortable with PCB design, Ethernet, USB, and Serial communications. Proficiency with CAD software is also required. While not required, candidates with an MEng in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or working towards chartership will have an advantage. Experience with high-availability electronics design and prior team leadership experience are also desirable. The company is already a global success with many product ranges, and this division is set to launch products globally as additional product offerings within the brand.
