BMR Solutions Ltd are working in partnership with a global advanced engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Strategic Sourcing Buyer for a permanent hybrid opportunity based in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-growth, technology-led manufacturing environment where procurement plays a critical role in driving supply chain resilience, supplier performance, cost reduction, and operational success.
You’ll take ownership of strategic sourcing activities across key commodity areas, developing high-performing supplier networks, securing long-term supply continuity, and delivering measurable commercial improvements within a complex engineering environment.
- Negotiate and implement long-term supplier agreements including BSA and LoW arrangements
- Drive supplier performance, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strengthen supply chain resilience and develop business continuity plans for critical suppliers and components
- Secure supplier capacity through proactive planning and supplier engagement
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Production, and Customer Service teams
- Support early supplier involvement in new technology and product development projects
- Ensure supplier compliance across quality, environmental, ethical, and governance standards
- Deliver the best sustainable total cost while maintaining quality and supply performance
Degree qualified in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or similar
- Minimum 10 years procurement experience within manufacturing or engineering
- Experience with cost analysis and supply market intelligence
