Candidates with commissioning experience and knowledge of Reverse Osmosis, Deionisers, Filters, Water Softeners, and Effluent Treatment Plant will have a considerable advantage and are encouraged to apply.
A good understanding of P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) is highly beneficial, as you will often be required to interpret technical drawings and schematics during installation, commissioning, and fault-finding activities.
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and commissioning water treatment systems, building direct customer relationships, and ensuring high standards of technical support and service delivery. This role offers a varied and rewarding workload, with opportunities to develop skills in installation, commissioning, and advanced system diagnostics.
The Role:
- Service and maintain water treatment systems (Reverse Osmosis, Deionisers, Filters, Water Softeners, Effluent Treatment Plant) at customer sites across the UK and overseas.
- Manage direct relationships with customers and plant operatives.
- Analyse and resolve technical issues both on-site and remotely.
- Complete installation and commissioning of plant (subject to skills and qualifications).
- Interpret and work from P&IDs, electrical schematics, and other technical documentation.
- Produce service reports and associated documentation (MS Word).
- Respond to customer needs in line with commercial and technical specifications.
- Assist with service improvement initiatives to increase productivity and profitability.
- Maintain high levels of customer care and service at all times.
- Adhere to company policies, including Health & Safety requirements.
- Proactively develop your skills and technical knowledge.
The Person:
- Multi-disciplined electro-mechanical engineer with relevant qualifications.
- Experience in the water treatment industry advantageous.
- Previous experience as a Service Engineer or in a field-based technical support role preferred.
- Confident interpreting P&IDs and technical drawings.
- Passionate about delivering first-class customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, able to communicate at all levels.
- Professional approach with strong organisational skills.
- Competent in MS Office applications.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
