Are you ready to take the next step in your manufacturing leadership career? Our client, a dynamic and innovative manufacturing organisation in Bristol, is seeking a Cell Leader to drive performance, inspire teams, and deliver operational excellence.
Your Role
As a Cell Leader, you will own and manage one or more production Cells, ensuring the delivery of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery KPIs. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will oversee daily manufacturing activities—from component receipt through assembly completion—while championing a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Cell teams, including Team Leaders, Cell Manufacturing Engineers, Coordinators, and Operators.
- Drive Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery KPI achievement and implement improvement plans.
- Ensure capacity planning aligns with production schedules; create recovery plans when needed.
- Own people, process, and system/data management within your Cell.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the Cell.
- Strengthen your team through recruitment, objective setting, competency development, and performance management.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience (ideally 5+ years) leading, motivating, and developing teams.
- Strong background in multi-disciplined manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated leadership in coaching, mentoring, performance management, and recruitment.
- Track record of delivering operational results and implementing Lean principles.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
