BMO Capital Markets is seeking an Analyst to join its London-based Corporate Banking Metals & Mining team. The successful candidate will support the origination, execution and portfolio management of lending transactions for a diversified portfolio of global Metals & Mining clients across Europe, Australia, Africa and the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of corporate lending transactions, including revolving credit facilities, syndicated loans and project finance transactions.
  • Conduct financial modelling, credit analysis, debt sizing and covenant analysis.
  • Prepare credit applications, transaction memoranda and client presentations.
  • Perform industry, commodity market and company research.
  • Coordinate due diligence and transaction execution processes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Investment Banking and product partners across Debt Capital Markets, Trade Finance, Risk Management and Global Markets.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Interest in corporate finance, lending and the Metals & Mining sector.
  • Previous experience in corporate banking, investment banking, credit analysis or related financial services roles preferred.
