The predicted salary is between 72000 - 108000 £ per year.

The CM AML EMEA VP is part of a centralized 1B function independent from the LOB(s) within the First Line of Defence, mandated to ensure LOB(s) execute their business in compliance with applicable regulations.

The VP will act as a SME for all AML related escalations, design and execute processes, methodology and reporting change to drive efficiency. As these changes are executed, the VP will ensure that they are embedded to enable sustainability. Efficiencies must drive integration of end-to-end processes across AML, Operational Risk and Supervision.

Concurrently, the VP is responsible for supporting enhancements to the EMEA AML team and broader Business Risk team, which drives not only efficiency, but a more robust AML Compliance program as the Capital Markets (CM) business grows and increases the level of sophistication in its product offering.

This will require in-depth understanding of regulations, control processes, systems and data structure required for AML and broad understanding on CM control frameworks. The VP will also need to review and assess the current processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations as well as driving efficiencies.

  • 10+ years of relevant AML experience in financial institution.
  • Expert knowledge of applicable AML regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge and proven ability of AML development process and change management from regulation to policy to practice.
  • Solid technical working knowledge of AML, including but not limited to KYC, sanctions, transaction monitoring, adverse media assessment, AML policies and procedures, regulatory controls and assessments, and reporting.
  • Proactive and results oriented with the ability to manage high quality deliverables.
  • Excellent at organizing information/data.

This role operates within a hybrid working environment which entails balancing meaningful time spent in the office for collaboration and connection with teams based on the expectations of your business group and role, along with time spent working remotely. The incumbent of this role is expected to be in office a minimum of 3 days a week.
