The mandate of the Associate, Treasury & Payment Solutions, EMEA:
- Execution of tactical and strategic plans to drive Treasury & Payments Solutions growth within the EMEA region, focusing on Global Financial Institutions.
- Foster alignment within Global Transaction Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, and Global Markets teams on the importanceč©•č«–of Treasury & Payment Solutions including cash management, corporate cards, and liquidity management.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Capital Markets with the TPS Product and Corporate Treasury team to provide feedback, identify product opportunities, and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist market Director TPS in defining the transformation agenda in Treasury & Payment Solutions and Corporate Banking in the Global Financial Institution sector within EMEA to enable continued business growth.
- Elevate the Treasury & Payment Solutions team in the market by managing complex cash management and liquidity solutions to banking clients in EMEA.
- Strengthen relationships with client management teams and internal partners/stakeholders across BMO Financial Group in EMEA.
- Contribute valuable Treasury & Payment Solutions expertise to build BMO’s reputation in the Global Financial Institution sector within EMEA.
Key Accountabilities
Business delivery and operational effectiveness:
- In collaboration with market Director TPS, manage client onboarding, project management, product addition/maintenance, billing, and escalation via coordinated response across partners and colleagues.
- Collaborate with partners in Global Transaction and Corporate & Investment Banking, as well as Global Markets, TPS Product & Service, and Corporate Treasury to support strategy execution and deliver solutions within EMEA.
- Deliver market expertise in cash management and liquidity products to Financial Institutions in EMEA.
Client and relationship management
- In collaboration with market Director TPS, deliver exemplary client coverage, service, and loyalty, including driving client advocacy for Global Financial Institutions.
- Identify and lead sustained coverage activity including account maintenance and cross‑sell activities resulting in increased share of wallet, new opportunities, and increased market share.
- Achieve results in a professional, ethical, and conscientious manner consistent with the risk policies and practices of the Bank.
Market leadership
- In collaboration with market Director TPS, participate in complex client executions with bankers across multiple lines of business and professionals through support groups globally.
- Execute on market potential and client opportunity through detailed understanding and analysis combined with consideration of competitors.
- Participate in a high‑performance winning culture within the Global Transaction and Corporate Banking teams by being highly engaged in change and driving new ideas.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Treasury & Payment Solutions, Corporate and/or Investment Banking, and Global Financial Institutions negotiating and structuring cash management, corporate cards, and liquidity transactions within EMEA.
- Demonstrated ability in market leadership and client relationship management with the ability to plan, manage, and execute effectively.
- Ability to function in a fast‑paced, active environment with high competency of time management, executional excellence, and use of a wide variety of systems and digital solutions.
